There are only a few days left before Christmas and I’m sure that many of you are enjoying the winter holidays. So why not spend a day or two in Sibiu at the Christmas Market. We were there last weekend and I was impressed. It’s not a big Christmas Market, but it’s charm can compete with those organized in the Austrian and German cities.

In Piata Mare there are wooden houses filled with delights of all kinds: homemade cakes, caramelized almonds, candies, homemade chocolate, traditional sausages, Romanian and Hungarian food and hot wine. Before you get drunk from the wine you will get drunk from the mouth-watering flavors that surrounds you. Near the delights houses we found also handmade accessories, fur hats, fluffy slippers and sheep wool gloves, scented candles, Christmas decorations, lavender and handicrafts. The Christmas Market also have an area with toy cars, toy trains, a carousel and Santa’s House.
